SaddleBrooke is one of the communities our Oro Valley practice welcomes, and the care we offer there rests on two commitments: options explained thoughtfully, and treatment planned to last. At Rutledge Dental, Dr. Joel Rutledge and Dr. Nasrin Fard bring advanced implant, restorative, and cosmetic training to a practice that has been part of Oro Valley since 2002.

Dental Implants and Cosmetic Care for SaddleBrooke Patients

Dental Implants and All-On-4

Replacing missing teeth is a central part of our work. Dental implants replace the missing tooth root with support for a single crown, an implant-supported bridge, or full-arch care. Because a single implant does not rely on neighboring teeth, it can replace one tooth without preparing healthy teeth for crowns. When a removable partial or denture does not provide the desired stability, All-On-4® implants use four to six strategically planned implants to support a fixed full arch. Every implant case is planned with digital diagnostics, and daily home care plus professional evaluation keeps the result healthy.

Implant care commonly includes evaluation, placement, healing, and restoration. The first visit reviews the missing tooth area, gums, bone, bite, neighboring teeth, medical history, and your goals, supported by 3D imaging. A personalized plan then identifies the number of implants, the restoration type, any need for extraction or grafting, and the expected sequence. Comfort and sedation options are discussed based on the procedure and your health. After placement, the bone heals around the implant over time, and follow-up visits assess stability and tissue health before a custom crown, bridge, or larger restoration is designed and adjusted for fit and bite.

Good decisions also account for timing and risk. Conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes, smoking, active gum disease, certain medications, and heavy bite forces can influence healing, and bone grafting may add time. Implant crowns cannot develop cavities, but the surrounding gums and bone can become inflamed if plaque is not managed, so daily cleaning and professional maintenance matter.

KöR Whitening and Lumineers

Cosmetic dentistry at Rutledge Dental starts with health and a clear goal. A small chip may respond to bonding, discoloration may respond to professional whitening, and tooth position may improve with Invisalign. KöR whitening is a dentist-supervised system for deeper and more persistent stains; it changes natural tooth structure but not fillings, crowns, or veneers, so existing restorations are considered in the plan. Lumineers, a branded type of thin porcelain veneer, can improve color, small gaps, and tooth shape with a conservative preparation approach in carefully selected cases. A consultation for cosmetic dentistry compares these options side by side so the plan fits your teeth, bite, and goals.

Teeth darken for different reasons, including coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco, age, medications, trauma, enamel thickness, and natural tooth structure. That is why a professional whitening plan at Rutledge Dental begins with diagnosis rather than choosing a product from a shelf, and why sensitivity history shapes the protocol. When over-the-counter products have not produced the change you want, a whitening evaluation can show whether discoloration is likely to respond and how existing restorations will affect the final appearance. Lumineers follow their own sequence: a cosmetic and health evaluation, smile records and design, minimal contouring only when needed, and placement, commonly across two main appointments.

Preventive Care

Prevention supports all of it. Routine exams and cleanings keep the doctors informed about your teeth, gums, and existing work, and laser-assisted care can support selected hygiene and periodontal procedures when indicated. When a tooth needs a crown, many qualified teeth can receive same-day crowns made in the office.

SaddleBrooke Dental FAQs

Does Rutledge Dental replace a full arch of teeth?

Yes. The team evaluates options for replacing one tooth, several teeth, or a complete arch. Implant planning considers bone, gums, bite, restorative space, health history, the planned teeth, and long-term maintenance.

Will whitening change the color of my crowns or veneers?

No. Professional whitening changes natural tooth structure only. Existing restorations may need to be evaluated afterward if they no longer match the new shade.
